Diesel Mechanic - 5000 Sign-On Bonus

Dart Transit Company has an immediate opportunity for a Tractor Technician at our Ellenwood GA location.

Shift Monday Friday 8:30am 5pm and every 3rd Saturday 7am 1pm
Sign On Bonus: $5000 50% paid out after 90 days; 50% paid out after 180 days

Responsibilities will include:

• Perform diagnosis repair and maintenance of fleet including electrical and brakes
• Preventative maintenance including oil change brakes lights filters tire pressure and tread depth etc.
• Knowledge of repairs with Detroit Diesel Cummins and Mercedes Engines.
• Document work order details within the Companys internal order and billing program
• Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Use effective interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers
• Good mechanical aptitude and work ethic needed
• Contribute to the goals of the shop leadership team and company
• Be a positive role model for all team members

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• 25 years of mechanic experience on heavyduty trucks
• Must have a Valid Drivers License
• Must pass a preemployment drug screen physical and background check
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

• Regularly required to use hands to handle materials reach with hands and arms and talk and hear.
• Regularly lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Frequently required to sit stand walk stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
