Desktop Support Technician
Location: Columbia SC

We are searching for a Desktop Support Technician for an established client. You will start off as a contractor and convert to a fulltime employee with the client after 6 months. You should have at least 2 years of professional desktop support experience.

Qualifications:
  • 2 years of professional desktop support experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows and MacOS.
  • Experience with ticketing systems.
  • Detail oriented ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Experience with setup and configuration of Microsoft 365 Active Directory Administration Application Support and Administration.
  • Understanding TCP/IP Networking Wireless networks Remoteaccess and sitetosite VPN.

Essential Duties
  • Review support tickets and resolve in a timely manner.
  • Repair desktops laptops workstations hardware etc. as needed.
  • Managing switches routers and firewalls
  • Antivirus administration and malware remediation.
  • Perform backup and recovery on software and devices.
  • Analyze Service Desk calls for Desktop Devices and incident data to identify and advise Customer of any potential user training requirement.
  • Ensure that each Desktop Device is installed with the appropriate Desktop image.

Education:
  • Associate degree in a related field. Certifications are a plus.
