IT Governance is a department focused on running the IT operations in our company in compliance with all the internal policies. It is formed from multiple teams and processes aligned with the ITIL framework/ ISO20000.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing governance risk and compliance data insights to drive improvement across the IT system;
  • Planning the implementation of processes and procedures for the identification and assessment of risk in the organizations information system;
  • Continuously evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of existing IT governance processes and frameworks.
  • Managing risks related to information technology and cybersecurity;
  • Conducting regular audits and assessments of IT systems to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  • Measuring and monitoring IT systems;
  • Developing systems and processes for the management and reporting of risks;
  • Providing insights and recommendations to the executive team;
  • Reviewing current and proposed information systems for compliance with the companys business strategy;
  • Developing standard operating procedures for IT systems to ensure compliance with corporate governance;
  • Prioritizing resolution of incidents and problem tickets within the other departments;
  • Handling escalations from clients;
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings workshops and other business engagements including occasional visits to remote offices or customer sites.
  • Coordinating with the other departments on ongoing projects to sustain the uptime of our systems;
  • Improving the monitoring for our systems and working with the teams to identify the correct thresholds for alerts;
  • Taking part in the Post Mortem process and helping with the RCA for our critical incidents;
  • Making sure all Post Mortems have reports written that can be sent to our clients;
  • Coordinating the implementation of the findings from Capacity Management.

Requirements:

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan execute and oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously within scope budget and timeline constraints.
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk management methodologies including risk assessment mitigation strategies and risk communication.
  • Ability to translate technical or complex concepts into userfriendly language;
  • Ability to collaborate working closely with both functional and technical teams;
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and troubleshooting skills;
  • Ability to remain flexible as priorities change adaptable to change and able to accept ambiguity;
  • Effective communications skills including written verbal and presentation;
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment;
  • Established skills in time management multitasking and prioritization of work;
  • Handles stress situations and can take decisions under pressure.

Work Life Balance:

  • Enjoy 22 annual leave days with the number increasing to 32 after 5 years with the company; 10 sick leave days per year (without a doctors note);
  • 40% work from home over any 3month period after the first 3 months;
  • During the first 3 months 100% work from the office central location near University Square;
  • If returning to work soon after having child 1 year 100% WFH for mothers; WFH after child is born
  • For fathers: 13 weeks of 100% WFH (from the day of the birth of the child).
