TITLE: Database Administrator

LOCATION: Toronto (3-days/week Mississauga)

About Our Client:
A large, leading telecom provider
Providing uninterrupted service to their large client base
Hybrid 3-day per week on-site
6-month contract to start
Responsibilities:
Ensure databases are running as efficiently as possible by Performance Tuning
Work closely with the project and app development teams and advise them on the database side (SQL Queries or PSQL codes), and see if any improvements need to be done before
Standard DBA responsibilities such as data migrations, upgrades,
May have to be on call if an urgent incident occurs
Qualifications:
10+ years experience as a Database
Extensive experience with Performance Tuning
Experience with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Rac
Experience with SQL server and MySQL is a plus
Past Telecom experience is a plus
