Database Administrator Intern

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in database installation configuration and maintenance
• Monitoring the performance of database systems and addressing any issues
• Executing regular data backups to prevent loss
• Contributing to database security through user access control and permissions management
• Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving databaserelated issues
• Developing and optimizing SQL queries for data retrieval
• Assisting in the implementation of database upgrades and patches
• Participating in the planning and execution of data migration projects
• Collaborating with teams to ensure data integrity and consistency
• Assisting in documenting database processes and configurations
• Participating in disaster recovery planning and execution
• Assisting in database performance tuning and optimization
• Conducting routine database health checks
• Assisting in the evaluation and implementation of new database tools and technologies
• Providing support on databaserelated projects

Required Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
• Strong understanding of database management concepts and principles
• Familiarity with SQL and database querying
• Basic understanding of database security and backup procedures
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues
• Knowledge of data modeling and normalization
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
• Basic understanding of network and server infrastructure
• Experience with any database management system will be an advantage
