Job Title: Senior Data Scientist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Python programming statistical analysis banking domain knowledge and proficiency in Teradata. As a Senior Data Scientist you will play a crucial role in driving datadriven decisionmaking processes developing predictive models and providing actionable insights to optimize business operations within the banking sector.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets and extract valuable insights to support strategic business initiatives.

• Develop predictive models to forecast customer behavior credit risk and market trends contributing to the enhancement of banking products and services.

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including data engineers business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and algorithms for data preprocessing feature engineering and model training/validation.

• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns trends and anomalies enabling proactive decisionmaking and risk management.

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science machine learning and banking regulations to continuously improve model performance and compliance.

• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders through insightful visualizations reports and presentations.

• Mentor junior data scientists and provide guidance on best practices coding standards and project execution methodologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Statistics Mathematics or a related field. PhD preferred.

• Proven experience (X years) as a Data Scientist or similar role in the banking or financial services industry.

• Proficiency in Python programming language for data manipulation statistical analysis and machine learning model development.

• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies such as regression analysis time series forecasting clustering and classification.

• Handson experience with Teradata or similar relational database management systems (RDBMS) for data extraction transformation and loading (ETL) processes.

• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) is a plus.

• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a passion for mentoring and knowledge sharing.
