Overview:

Client facing Corporate Senior Relationship Manager role managing the sales and execution of the complete Wholesale Banking product range to both new to Bank and existing Corporate Client relationships. To build a portfolio of Corporate Clients in support of the UK & Ireland footprint generating revenue efficiently effectively collaboratively and compliantly. Stewardship and management of client relationships together with the identification of business opportunities in line with relevant strategy sales plan policies procedures standards processes regulations and risk parameters.

What You Will Be Doing:

Principal Accountabilities

In terms of the responsibilities required for the successful delivery of the function the following apply:

Operational accountabilities:

Corporate prospecting origination development and execution of the complete Wholesale Banking product suite including traditional Credit opportunities and identification of Trade Finance and Supply Chain Financing (Receivables & Payables)Cash Management and Liquidity opportunities. Proactively manage the delivery of integrated solutions that meet the needs of new and existing Corporate clients whilst respecting all policies procedures standards processes regulations and risk parameters

Responsible for contributing to the growth of Bank ABCs client base by i) identification and prospecting of new to bank Corporate clients to generate a healthy pipeline of Corporate Banking opportunities ii) Managing client portfolio relationships by developing client strategies and account plans in order to expand your portfolio and broaden and deepen client relationships in line with performance objectives

Contribute to active portfolio management to embrace the optimization of portfolio performance and work in alignment with the Risk Distribution / Syndication Team.

  • Build relationships with relevant external stakeholders to support the Corporate banking origination such as industry bodies or other market participants to further Bank ABCs strategic objectives

Group accountabilities:

As a member of the Corporate Coverage Team Wholesale Banking Europe facilitate the One Bank ABC strategy providing significant contributions to cross border cross client and cross product collaboration to deliver a coordinated and seamless OneBank to the client experience

Demonstrably contribute to assigned team activities and business objectives efficiently and effectively. Proactive input to optimize team and individual performance and facilitate the achievement of operating plans budgets and targets

Assist with Bank ABCs continuous development being prepared to suggest and drive innovative ideas and embracing performance improvements ensuring that we meet our underlying core objectives and that customers and colleagues benefit to the fullest extent from such developments

Actively champion a high performance continuous learning and client centered culture demonstrating Bank ABCs values and behaviors to perform at your best at all times and deliver sustainable success for Wholesale Banking and Bank ABC

Be widely seen as a role model coaching and developing junior team members sharing your knowledge and experience to maximum effect. Inspiring others to maximize their performance and continuously develop their capabilities and experience is key to the role.

Performance Management

Detailed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are set annually together with the budget with the underlying performance objectives set out below.

  • Group Performance is based on one financial objective to build core Group profits and at the same time encourage top line growth and improve shareholder returns through a targeted focus on ROE.
  • Unit Performance is based on Financial Strategic and ARC objectives. The Financial objectives are to grow operating income and improve portfolio profitability. The Strategic objectives are to optimize corporate client portfolio; deepen relationships; gather more corporate deposits; and drive more crossnetwork business. The ARC objective is to meet the audit risk and compliance performance requirements as defined globally.

Individual Performance is based on what has been delivered and how it has been delivered. The what is defined in Annual Objectives. These are either stretching ways of delivering the Principal Accountabilities or oneoff things required in any given year. The how relates to the demonstration of excellent behaviors. These include excellent team working application of the Corporate Values (3Cs) and adherence to Risk and Compliance requirements.

Candidate Specification:

  • Excellent understanding of Wholesale Bankings traditional Credit Loans and a broad working knowledge of Trade Finance Supply Chain Financing and Cash and Liquidity products for Corporate clients
  • Thorough understanding of credit loan transaction management with a knowledge of Trade Finance management processes and transaction lifecycle
  • A familiarity with Cash Management and liquidity products for Corporate clients
  • Good understanding of risk management and mitigation techniques
  • Good understanding of the regulatory environment and obligations
  • Good understanding of MENA Corporate markets
  • Significant post qualification experience in corporate and/or investment banking or related areas (at least 5 years)
  • Experience of developing excellent client relationships across global corporate organizations
  • Experience of administration of credit and credit analysis
  • Experience of managing multiple priorities in a challenging and changing environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong drive to excel and perform
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong creative and innovative thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills
