As a Senior Software Engineer youll be part of a client team building innovative products. We expect you to be curious passionate driven and enthusiastic. Tasks

About You:

A YLD Software Engineering Consultant is a highlyskilled developer who exemplifies the highest standard in software engineering and enjoys sharing their knowledge and experience with others.

Youll have the opportunity to build and deliver software within some interesting projects both in terms of the product and the methodology. We work in an Agile environment (Scrum) with a testfirst mindset (actually writing code without tests should be unthinkable). We are also big advocates of pair programming and nothing is released until we have a code review.

Your daytoday responsibilities will look like this:

• Crafting excellent products! As a FullStack Engineer you will be building new features that meet the needs of our clients customers.
• Continuously delivering changes to products as our client is moving to a full CI/CD model
• Working closely with your team regularly collaborating and on engineering initiatives to continually push yourselves to be better
• Learning growing and mentoring the engineering team to accelerate their careergrowth and encourage them to progress;
• Working with the Lead to architect design build and deliver highly available alwayson zero downtime products;
• Being responsible for the production operation and monitoring of products inline with SLAs;
• Driving good practices within your team making an impact on the whole department;
• Participating in regular show and tells promoting your work to both your department and the wider company

Requirements

Youll have the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience as a Frontend Engineer working with React in a commercial environment writing semantic accessible and modular code;
• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer demonstrating proficiency in at least one musthave language such as Python Go etc;
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and containerisation; technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes);
• Experience in distributed version control systems (e.g. Git);
• Experience in databases (both relational and schemaless);
• A strong focus on continuous integration and delivery;
• Substantial testing experience from code quality through to security customer journeys and accessibility;
• Building highperformance and scalable applications;
• Good understanding of the design and implementation of RESTful web services;
• Experience implementing and building GraphQL services;
• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools;
• You can keep a cool head when debugging production issues.
