Job Description

Role description:

1. Social Media Presence

  • Streamline and manage AIS West’s social media feeds on Instagram and Facebook, focusing on story-telling, highlighting the key strengths of the school: student achievements, high-quality teaching and learning, our excellent educators, activities including performing and fine arts, athletics, and the school’s world-class campus and top tier facilities.

2. Website Content Management

  • Working within our existing Finalsite content management system (CMS) and web best practices, update school website content to reflect the high-quality education on offer at AIS West. Work with education and business teams to represent their departments on the site, ensure school news is published regularly on the site, and implement bi-annual reviews to ensure the site presents existing and prospective parents with a comprehensive and current view into school life and the student experience.

3. Media Library/Digital Assets Creation & Management

  • Work with photography and videography vendors to create an updated library of photos and videos that showcase school life for admissions as well as social media. These include facility beauty shots, educator and management interviews, creative student videos, and more.

4. Environmental Branding

  • Improve the environmental branding around the school by supporting the implementation of new, updated signage, posters, and displays that reflect the high-quality offering of the school and communicate our key educational programs.

5. School Communications

  • Support the Office of Admissions, Director, and education teams with creating high-quality communications materials such as brochures, handouts, posters, social media posts, etc. serving both internal and external audiences.

6. Brand Custodian/Governance

  • Be familiar with the Esol Education and Esol School brand guidelines & style guide and check that all communications material adheres to this in terms of visual, written, and online communications. Advise admin/faculty members on how the branding needs to appear on various materials

7. News Updates

  • Sourcing and writing articles for the newsletter and the corporate website. This involves working closely with school community relations coordinators, administration staff, and Directors’ offices to ensure a smooth and timely flow of communication

Job Requirements

Skills Required

  • Excellent English copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills. Arabic language skills would be a plus
  • Strong design aesthetic
  • Expert knowledge of the Canva platform would be a strong advantage
  • Experience using a CMS for website management, mass emails, and online newsletters
  • Management of social channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube – creating and curating content, social influence building
  • Basic Photography and video filming and editing skills using a smartphone and applications

Experience

  • 5 years of client-side PR and marketing experience in K-12 Education or Healthcare industry OR agency-side experience working with family-focused brands and products, responsible for marketing, communications, public relations, community management.
  • Must be digitally fluent with hands-on experience in building and managing social media channels
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications, Journalism or related field of study
  • AIS Alumni preferred
