Contract type: Temporary 6months / Ongoing (though opening assignments are often extended by clients on a longerterm basis).

Hours Per Week: Fulltime position

Start Time: 9:00 AM

End Time: 17:00 PM

PAYE Rate: 24.33 ph (incl 12.07% holiday pay)

Umbrella/Ltd Pay Rate ph : xph

Job Description
The CBSP Placement Brokerage Officer is a crucial position for interpreting the procurement requirements of CSC social work teams. The officers role is to translate these needs into brokered service options. Knowledge of inhouse framework and spot provision on both a local and national level is necessary to fulfil this role effectively. This includes identifying coordinating monitoring and placing children and young people with disabilities up to the age of 19 in the care of Lambeth Council. The officer must work closely with social workers foster care providers residential care providers and colleagues across various services including childrens services adult services education and health. Additionally the officer will collaborate with commissioning colleagues to monitor and ensure contract quality and develop effective systems and processes to ensure highquality placements that offer value for money and improve outcomes for children and young people.


General responsibilities:
Guarantee the recognition of suitable services based on the needs specified by the CSC social work practitioners and managers.
Tasks include:
Ensuring the identification of service requests (care packages)
Confirming appropriate service searches based on the description of need
Utilizing known contacts and service liaisons to identify suitable service options
Developing and expanding the Service catalogue as it relates to placement information
Negotiating with service providers for future availability of service provision
Identifying shortterm emergency provision for situations where longterm provision is not immediately available to meet immediate needs and have a contingency plan in place for service provision.
Organizing planning and prioritising workload in response to competing demands
Being knowledgeable about all available inhouse framework and spot provisions both locally and nationally.
Ensuring office systems are maintained to record and authorise resource requests and associated payments.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements Possess a BTEC or equivalent qualification in a Business, Computing, or Administrative field. Demonstrate strong proficiency in utilising IT and Management Information Systems (MIS) solutions, specifically Microsoft Office software. Possess prior MIS, Business, or Administrative experience. Possess experience or the necessary skills to supervise staff in the short term effectively. Possess experience with ONE and/or SIMS. Possess strong written communication skills and experience in disseminating information to relevant parties. Possess experience or the necessary skills to take minutes when required accurately. Possess excellent communication skills. Possess experience in working under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Fluency in English and Welsh is essential.
