Business Development Executive Retail/OTC Pharmaceuticals (Remote)

About the position

We are looking for a Business Development Executive to join us to spearhead our sales and sales efforts in the US and India. These are the initial markets but we expect to expand quickly to other markets such as EU and Asia Pacific.

Key responsibilities

  • Draw up a launch plan and develop a marketing strategy and tactics to accomplish these goals.
  • Identify and develop a relationship with key individuals in distributors such as Walmart Walgreens CVS Rite aid and align sales plan with their product placement plans.
  • Product placement strategies for each type of outlet
  • Develop a strategy for rapid online sales through the above partners and independent outlets such as Amazon.
  • Develop promotion programs to develop interest in the product and establish loyalty. Focus on high impact and lowcost programs such as YouTube promotion. Identify ways to leverage the website of the business for marketing purposes.
  • Gather market intelligence on pricing and help in product pricing rebates and special pricebased promotions.
  • Participate in regular meetings with distributors to identify ways to rapidly grow the business with a focus not only on pricing but also on pack sizes design product placement and promotion campaigns.
  • Establish the products in the US and India markets to allow for the expansion into other markets.
  • Experience Skills and Qualifications

    • Pharmaceuticals and OTC pharma executives with at least ten years experience in India and the US market
    • Development of sales and marketing strategies and executing these plans to accomplish the goals. This is the key. A demonstrable track record in this area is essential. We are looking for executives with extensive field market experience with significant interactions in the marketplace. A wellestablished network is essential to get the business started off strongly.
    • Experience in the Indian and US/Global markets is necessary.
    • The ability to take the initiative take ownership and execute in a timely manner is important. We are a lean organization and have a culture of accountability.
    • Superb interpersonal skills
    • The ideal candidate will have about ten years experience in a reputable pharmaceutical company with responsibility for OTC products. Work experience in Indian and global markets is necessary.
