Role: Business Analyst Investment Banking (Equities Bonds Equity Derivatives Cash products)

Location: London Hybrid likely 23 days in the office per week

Contract Duration: 6month contract is likely inside IR35 through an umbrella company

This is an exciting opportunity to join Deloitte Operations at the beginning of a largescale complex programme for one of our premier Investment Banking clients.

Key Accountabilities

Analysis:

• Facilitate Sprint Planning and Product Backlog meetings.
  
• Assist as required in the requirements analysis for system enhancements and changes.
  
• Demonstrate good development domain knowledge with experience of different domains utilities and experience to recommend appropriate technologies.
  
• Assist or lead analysis of production issues with production support team.
  
• Assess team readiness for Agile and proactively manage any gaps to ensure good Agile delivery.
  
  

Design:

• Interpret and understand functional specifications. Work with Business Analysts Transformations partners and end users in order to provide clarity around complex concepts.
  
• Design of physical data model from data model.
  
• Craft innovative solutions that will support scalable performant robust architectures. Represent the team at Innovation forums within the bank and apply tools technologies and techniques as appropriate.
  
• Creation of technical design documents adhering to predefined standards.
  
• Organisation and retention of projectlevel systemlevel tasklevel and defect information.
  
• Defining efficient processes to baseline the code to manage build activities using continues integration across concurrent workstreams.
  
  

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

• Business analysis experience in regulatory projects (particularly in the areas of Operations).
  
• Experience in Investment Banking processes and Operations including Equities Bonds Equity Derivatives Cash products
  
• Experience in SQL or PL/SQL query skills.
  
• Excellent decision making and problem solving skills able to partner with business and technology colleagues and teams to solve complex problems.
  
• Experience of the software development lifecycle the roles and responsibilities on large projects and the motivations of the actors involved.
  
• Major Shareholding reporting Long & Short selling reporting & Take over panel reporting
  

Desirable skills/experience:

• SQL/Data Analysis
  
• Tool : Toad Oracle developer
  
• XML Document reading and should be able to write BCML path for Attributes Tool used : Altova
