This is a remote position.

Remote management approaches innovative data collection processes and RMTeam s inhouse BlueData® software allows collection and analysis of reliable validated and highquality data. With its geographic coverage extending across Syria Iraq Yemen Türkiye Lebanon Jordan and Ukraine RMTeam has around 50 staff and a genderbalanced network of around 1000 incountry field researchers.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bid/Proposal Writer to join our team. S/he will be responsible for creating compelling proposals bids and other documentation to support our business development efforts. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills a keen eye for detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced and deadline driven environment.

The Bid Writer will be a member of the Business Development Team supporting the growth strategy across the business lines and in all technical areas with a primary focus on proposal development. S/he helps to take an opportunity through the pipeline from identification to submission. S/he focuses on overall planning writing proposal/preproposal pieces and coordinating the internal team and partner inputs for bid efforts and also assists in broader bid preparation and production aspects.

Main responsibilities:

Writing / Editing
Conducting research to understand client needs preferences and pain points.
Analysing bid documents to understand client requirements evaluation criteria and submission guidelines.
Write edit and format proposals bids and other documentation in accordance with company standards and client requirements. Write expressions of interest corporate capability statements personnel and management sections past performance references biographical sketches and other proposal components; strategically enhances/positions resume content.
Conduct research to gather relevant information and data to support proposal development.
Tailor proposals to address client needs and highlight the unique value proposition of RMTeams solutions and services.
Edits and coordinates technical proposal sections as they develop (including managing file traffic/turnaround time and close liaison with technical staff).
Reviews and edits submissions from partners ensuring their inputs meet specified requirements and expected level of quality.
Designing bid/proposal layouts and incorporating visual elements to enhance readability and appeal. Work with graphic design team to develop all graphics needed.
Maintain proposal templates content libraries and other resources to support efficient proposal development.

Coordination
Coordinate proposal submission process including compiling supporting documents and managing deadlines.
Works closely with unit managers to successfully manage proposal development efforts and resources including timeline and action planning identification of needed proposal team members internal/external meeting support efficient communications and organization of proposal component folders/files.
Has lead responsibility for coordinating select proposals (including preparing tailored calendars checklists instructions templates and outlines) and monitoring progress.
Performs analysis of RFP s requirements and continually works to promote and ensure compliance.
Ensures vital flow of communication and task management between all parties involved in the proposal process.
Participate in facilitating evolution and documentation of proposal strategy such as competitive analysis developing win themes and technical approach visioning needed personnel and selecting teaming partners.
Leads final technical and cost proposal production and submission and coordinates post submission debriefs.
In close coordination with the Finance and Operations Departments helps support cost/business proposal development as appropriate.
Works closely with management to develop job descriptions identify and screen candidates facilitate and coordinate interviews and finalize documentation of selected candidates.

Plays a key role in capture activities including research competitive analysis positioning activities and partnering discussions.
Maintains timely data on assigned opportunity pipeline.
Carries out business intelligence research to help position company/guide strategic planning; Research and analysis of trends among key donors/clients.
Supports and leads liaison with and efforts to build positive relationships with other international development organizations and a range of international donors.
Develops depth of understanding of practice area staff and projects and helps facilitate proactive and responsive business development support.
Attends sector events and conferences.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
Advanced university degree preferably in International Relations International Development English Communication Business Administration or related fields.
3 years experience in bid/proposal writing and business development.
Preferably experience working in the international development and/or humanitarian aid sector in the MENA region; monitoring and evaluation.
Proven experience in bid and proposal writing and familiarity with government contracting processes and requirements.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas effectively creativity to craft compelling narratives.
Excellent writing editing and proofreading skills.
Knowledge of graphic design principles and ability to create visually appealing proposal layouts.
Project management skills to coordinate bid submissions effectively.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadlinedriven environment.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency commitment to quality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software tools.

Benefits

Compensation package:
As a bid/proposal writer you will be engaged in a consultancy capacity with RMTeam. You will receive a monthly consultancy fee commensurate with your expertise experience and the scope of the work you undertake. Its important to note that as a consultant with RMTeam you will operate as an independent contractor. This means that you will be responsible for managing your own taxes and other obligations in accordance with local regulations and requirements.
