Backend Developer Intern

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle focusing on coding and debugging
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate userfacing elements with serverside logic
• Design and implement data storage solutions
• Develop and manage wellfunctioning databases and applications
• Build and maintain APIs to support frontend features
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Work on improving system quality by identifying issues and common patterns
• Stay updated on emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
• Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation and technical manuals
• Contribute to a team that values high quality reliable and maintainable code
• Support the production environment and analyze and resolve production issues
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of designers developers and system administrators
• Follow industry best practices

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
• Strong understanding of serverside and backend development processes
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python Java or C
• Experience with databases (e.g. Express MongoDB PostgreSQL)
• Ability to develop and consume RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (e.g. ReactJS JavaScript CSS3)
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Problemsolving skills and ability to think algorithmically
• Passion for software development and learning new technologies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies
