Automation Tester

David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading tech company that is looking to recruit Automation Tester for their Lisbon office.

Position: Automation Tester

Location: hybrid remote inLisbon Portugal

Employment type: Fulltime

Remuneration: Base salary.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop robust test automation scripts to validate software functionality ensuring scalability and maintainability
• Collaborate closely with product owners business analysts and engineers to understand requirements and align automation efforts with project goals
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies contributing to sprint planning execution and reviews
• Execute automated test scripts monitor results and report defects accurately using designated tracking tools
• Continuously identify opportunities for improvement in test automation frameworks tools and processes
• Document automation frameworks scripts and procedures and share knowledge with team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
• 46 years of proven experience in QA engineering Software Engineering in Test (SET) or Test Automation Engineering roles
• Extensive experience in various testing techniques including Automated UI testing Automated API testing and Testdriven development (TDD) strategies
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Rest Assured and Selenium for API and UI automation
• Strong programming skills in Java with the ability to write efficient maintainable automation scripts
• Handson experience with SQL for data validation and manipulation
• Familiarity with unit testing libraries/frameworks version control systems (e.g. Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins
• Excellent problemsolving skills attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Working schedule: Monday to Friday office hours.
