This is a remote position.

Job Description
  • Support Accountants and Partners in the performance of their duties
  • Accurately enters all transactions daily/weekly/monthly into the accounting system.
  • Uploads supporting evidence for all transactions entered.
  • Performs bank reconciliations for all client bank accounts.
  • Preparation of payroll for multiple entities weekly
  • Preparation of monthly or Quarterly PAYGW PAYGI or Business Activity Statements
  • Manage clients accounts payables as per the process
  • Manage clients accounts receivables as per the process
  • Manage clients payroll as per the process
  • Preparation of quarterly superannuation returns for all entities as required
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all statutory deadlines and submission of returns to clients by the deadline
  • Reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts with the main general ledger account
  • Reconciles general ledger accounts with external records (eg ATO integrated client account super and payroll tax)
  • Able to process payroll competently
  • Able to prepare Adjustment Journals competently
  • Invoicing of client statements and receivables
  • Promptly informs the Manager of any issues with accounts
  • Maintains and builds a supportive and effective team culture
  • Upholds and promotes the firm s values
  • Maintains the highest ethical and professional standards.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills


Requirements


  • At least 3 years experience in Bookkeeping or Accounting
  • At least 1 years experience in Australian Bookkeeping
  • Intermediate Skills with XERO MYOB QuickBooks or equivalent
  • Intermediate Word and Excel skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in the AU building and construction industry is highly regarded.

  • Desired Skills or Qualifications:
  • Accounting degree;
  • Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word Certification
  • Familiarity with the Australian Taxation Office portal
  • Wellhoned bookkeeping skills with above average communication skills.
