We are looking for an Accounting Manager / Controller to join our Finance team in Helsinki on our mission to make buying and selling homes fast, simple and safe. The position is full-time and permanent.

The group finance function is the oil in Rive s engine. We ensure a growing pool of liquidity to tap into, whether it is for growing our team or increasing the financing amounts for expanding our apartment inventory. At the same time, we make sure that all of these operations are properly processed and recorded. The finance function liaises with a multitude of stakeholders: broad lateral communication internally on operational and strategic manners, as well as externally with e.g. banks, VCs, real estate investors, and alternative lenders. A significant portion of our team has years of experience in investment banking and/or management consulting, resulting in a highly ambitious culture that has helped us raise more than EUR 100m of capital in various forms to date.

Main responsibilities include tasks related to:

• Leading and developing the accounting function in Finland.
• Preparing and analyzing monthly, interim and annual reports.
• Supporting the management team by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
• Developing accounting-related systems, processes, and internal policies.
• Managing the audit process and being the main point of contact for auditors.
• Other day-to-day financial and administrative tasks.
• Taking on additional ad hoc finance or business projects as needed.

Requirements:

We expect you to have an applicable degree (e.g. MSc (Econ), majoring in Accounting or Finance). In addition, we expect you to

• Have +5 years of relevant experience in financial controlling, reporting, and/or auditing;
  
• Be keen on taking ownership of tasks and projects;
  
• Have strong communication skills in both Finnish and English;
  
• Experience in different accounting/ERP software, especially Oracle Netsuite, is seen as an asset;
