Job Summary

As an Accountant you will be responsible for performing basic to medium accounting responsibilities that will contribute to the financial health of our clients organizations. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized and uptodate financial records using accounting software.

  • Record financial transactions including income and expenses.

  • Address any discrepancies or errors promptly.

  • Generate and send invoices to clients or customers.

  • Process payments and update accounts receivable.

  • Monitor and track business expenses ensuring proper categorization.

  • Prepare expense reports for reimbursement or analysis.

  • Ensure financial records are auditready.

  • Assist in budget creation and monitoring.

  • Track actual spending against budgeted amounts.

  • Collaborate with other teams on financial matters.

  • Monitoring contracts and agreements with vendors consultants banks tenants contractors municipalities etc.

  • Manage data entry and oversee bank reconciliation process.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of company books and records.

  • Ad hoc tasks



Requirements

  • At least two years proven experience in basic accounting tasks.

  • Minimum of a college degree

  • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero).

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Relevant certification (such as ICAN) will be an added advantage

  • Familiarity with accounting principles and regulations

Schedule: West African Time: full time/part time (Availability between 02:00pm and 12am)
