About the Job
Responsible for the application of Integrated Pest Management such as insects, rodents, birds, feral animals and termites.
Position includes tracking, trapping and transportation of feral animals.
Manages and mitigates a host of pests such as flies, cockroaches, rodents and ants.
Reports and monitors pest management operations and activities.
Operates equipment related to pest management tasks.
Performs Integrated Pest Management inspections.
Manages staff to ensure safe, ethical and robust procedures are followed in accordance with regulatory guidance.
Assists in development and execution of pest management educational and awareness training.
Organizes and/or attend meetings, representing applicable area of responsibility.
Ensures site compliance and safe chemical management.
Compiles and develops technical documents.
Identifies and uses developing technologies in order to improve current methodologies.
Assists with ensuring regulatory compliance with regulations and guidelines.
Communicates operational issues and problems to management.
Provides educational awareness of pest management practices through instructing/providing technician training.
Develops pesticide application schedules and performs administrative functions (meetings, e-mail).
Manages supplies to ensure accountability and continual service.
May be called on to develop and present information at senior level meetings.
Compiles and submits required reports to supervision and management.
Job Requirements
High Education degree – Bachelor agriculture advantage or similar field
Displays excellent Communication, Delegation, Leadership and Problem Solving skills.
Promotes Team Spirit and Creativity and Initiative.
Quick learner with strong organization & multi-tasking skills, and an eye-for-detail.
Able to use proficiently all Microsoft Office Applications
Must be able to work in pressure environments and high-intensity situations
Must be hard working & a team player, with a result-orientated attitude.
