We have an exciting temporary part-time acting opportunity for the role of OSHC Manager based at Glenora starting ASAP until at least 30 June 2026.
This opportunity may suit someone who is ready to build on their experience in Education and Care gain valuable exposure to service management and support OSHC educators to deliver safe engaging and high-quality programs for children.
About the opportunity
As Acting OSHC Manager you will support the day-to-day management of a small number of OSHC services in line with the National Quality Framework the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations and Lady Gowrie Tasmanias commitment to putting Children First.
You will work directly with several OSHC services to support high-quality Before School Care After School Care and Vacation Care programs for children aged 4 to 12 years.
This role plays an important part in creating environments where children are safe and can thrive educators feel supported and empowered and families experience strong positive relationships with our services.
- Minimum 4 days a week working varying between 07:30am to 6:00pm (Friday and Monday required)
- To support with rostering there may be some ad-hoc out of hours work paid as per LGTs Enterprise Agreement.
In this role you will:
- Lead the delivery of safe inclusive and engaging OSHC programs
- Support day-to-day service operations including family engagement educator support and compliance
- Mentor and guide educators to strengthen practice confidence and teamwork
- Build strong trusted relationships with children families educators and school communities
- Carry out responsibilities ensuring services meet legislative and National Quality Standard requirements
- Support continuous improvement and readiness for Assessment and Rating
What youll bring:
We are looking for someone who is values-led practical supportive and ready to challenge themselves by stepping into a service leadership role.
You will need to show:
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams
- Strong understanding and practical application of the National Quality Framework and associated legislation
- ACECQA-approved Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Previous OSHC experience beneficial but we are open to providing opportunities for development for Long Day Care team members.
