TheDevelopment Coordination Authority (DCA)has been established to strengthen how NSW Government agencies work together within the development assessment system. Acting as a central coordination point for agency advice the Authority will streamline referral processes resolve issues earlier and deliver clearer more consistent input to consent authoritiessupporting faster better-informed planning outcomes across NSW.

Joining the DCA presents a unique opportunity to help shape and embed a new operating model for planning coordination contributing directly to system reform and the delivery of housing infrastructure and sustainable communities across the State.

The roles

These roles will keep the Executive Directors office running smoothly. From managing a fast moving diary and handling sensitive correspondence to coordinating briefings meetings and papers. Your work makes it easier for senior leaders to focus on decisions that matter. Youll be a trusted first point of contact using judgement discretion and strong organisation skills to triage issues and keep work moving.

At the same time youll juggle competing priorities tight deadlines and unexpected changes without missing a beat. Youll balance multiple tasks manage confidential information with care and stay one step ahead by spotting emerging issues improving office systems and providing consistently highquality executive support in a busy complex environment.

What you will bring to the role

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to confidently liaise with senior executives stakeholders and committees and prepare highquality briefings and correspondence.
  • High level administrative skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and competing demands managing a busy diary tight deadlines and multiple workstreams with discretion.
  • Maintains meticulous attention to detail amidst highvolume workloads ensuring accuracy confidentiality and consistency across documentation systems and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fastpaced and dynamic work environment responding smoothly to changing priorities and unexpected demands.

What is an essential requirement:

  • Thorough knowledge of the machinery of Government at a Federal State and local level and experience in dealing with politically sensitive and confidential industry and business issues.
  • High level of organisational administrative and co-ordination skills including ability to plan and prioritise work with minimal supervision and deal with confidential and sensitive issues.

Eligibility Eligible employees are required to be at-grade or at an equivalent level; and either ongoing public service employees or fixed term employees who have been comparatively assessed at-grade.
