Senior Veterinary Nurse Brisbane 4-Day Week

Were not looking for someone to fill a seat. Were looking for someone who wants to help build something.

Were a Brisbane GP clinic in the exciting (and sometimes chaotic) phase of setting ourselves up for long-term excellence and we need a Senior Nurse who wants to be part of that from the ground up.

Our head nurse is highly experienced across both GP and emergency with particular strength in anaesthesia. Shes the kind of person who will genuinely invest in you but she needs a peer beside her not another person to carry. Someone who brings their own ideas catches the things she misses and helps lift the whole team.

What the role actually looks like

Youll be nursing at your full scope from day one. We have nurse-led consults and were actively developing nurse-led clinics weight management puppy consults post-op care and more. Youll work with our head nurse to build clinical protocols and help mentor our junior staff. You wont be told what to do next. Youll know.

Our vets rely on our nurses genuinely. Nursing input is respected in patient management clinical decisions are collaborative and we dont have a culture of nurses being treated as assistants. If something isnt working we want to hear it.

Weve invested in the equipment that lets you do your job properly: capnography digital and dental X-ray ultrasound electrocautery. Gold standard care isnt a tagline here its what weve built toward and keep building toward.

Were looking for someone who:

• Has 2 years of qualified GP nursing experience and is confident working independently

• Communicates brilliantly with clients with vets and with junior staff

• Actively contributes ideas and isnt afraid to say what if we did this differently

• Wants to genuinely be part of something for the long term not the next 12 months

• Cares deeply about patient outcomes and being a meaningful part of their community

A word on culture

Were not perfect well say that plainly. Were a newer team deliberately building for long-term success and that means were still refining still improving and genuinely open to being made better by the right people.
