TheDevelopment Coordination Authority (DCA)has been established to strengthen how NSW Government agencies work together within the development assessment system. Acting as a central coordination point for agency advice the Authority will streamline referral processes resolve issues earlier and deliver clearer more consistent input to consent authoritiessupporting faster better-informed planning outcomes across NSW.
Joining the DCA presents a unique opportunity to help shape and embed a new operating model for planning coordination contributing directly to system reform and the delivery of housing infrastructure and sustainable communities across the State.
The role
At the heart of this role is coordinating complex requests for technical advice and turning multiple expert inputs into one clear highquality response. Youll sit at the centre of the processbringing people together spotting issues early managing timelines and acting as the key contact for assessment and rezoning teams navigating timecritical matters.
Youll balance competing priorities smooth crossdiscipline tensions and help resolve contested or highrisk issues all while keeping quality and service standards high. By building strong relationships supporting continuous improvement and mentoring business support staff your work will directly influence better planning outcomes and help shape NSW communities.

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with strong time management and organisational skills in highvolume environments.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and align diverse contributors to achieve outcomes.
- Strong problemsolving capability including identifying risks resolving crossdiscipline issues and adapting to evolving and timecritical situations.
- High attention to detail ensuring accuracy consistency and quality across complex written advice and deliverables.
What is an essential requirement:
- Degree qualification in a related relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
Eligibility Eligible employees are required to be at-grade or at an equivalent level; and either ongoing public service employees or fixed term employees who have been comparatively assessed at-grade.
