Maternity cover Vendor Manager Home, EU Arts, Crafts, and Sewing

Amazon is looking for highly talented Senior Vendor Managers for our Home Store category in the Madrid offices.

The Senior Vendor Manager will establish strong relationships with key segment manufacturers and distributors integrating them in our logistic and catalog systems planning the selection of season collections and managing inventory levels. Further responsibilities will be to coordinate marketing activities and to drive projects to improve catalog quality and navigation and customer purchasing experience.

Additionally you will be a key member adding unique Spanish brands to our websites in Europe. The Manager will work in an International environment mostly in English.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive selection (direct / indirect supply priority brands and terms)
- Establish relationships and conclude agreements/deals with leading brands.
- Execute technical integration with suppliers and lead projects to more efficiently source stock manage prices execute promotions and assimilate vendor catalogs.
- Agree with vendors on promotions and marketing initiatives and coordinate with the Site Merchandising team to execute these activities
- Demand forecasting: Create forecasts of demand based on multiple sources (local sales history other locales data external sources vendor feedback)
- In-stock monitoring: Daily monitoring of inventory levels to reduce stock-out/ overstock risk
- Participate day-to-day operational aspects of the category including gathering and addressing customer feedback price monitoring business improvement initiatives.
- Be an ambassador within the industry and continuously enhance Amazons position.

- Bachelors degree in Engineering Finance Business Economics or other related fields
- Experience in account management project/program management or buying
- Experience with high-level negotiation and successful internal and external relationship management
- Experience demonstrating strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data
- Speak write and read fluently in English and have the ability to take direction in English
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills attention to detail and effective communication abilities
- Can work proactively and independently meet deadlines and deliver on projects and tasks
- Experience with strong project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Masters degree or above in management business administration economics engineering marketing
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up
- Experience in MS Access and SQL
- Working knowledge of additional languages.
- Experience in people management is nice-to-have.
