Clinical Nurse
Job Summary
As a Clinical Nurse youll play a key role in supporting the health and wellbeing of students staff and visitors across campus. Youll provide nursing assessment treatment for illness and injury and respond to emergency first aid needs when they arise.
Working within the Health and Medical Service youll collaborate with doctors and allied health professionals to support coordinated high-quality care. Youll also contribute to health education and promotion activities that help build a healthier campus community.
Every day will be a mix of clinical care teamwork and variety supporting people when they need it most and helping promote positive health outcomes across the University.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide nursing care assessment treatment and preventative health interventions to support the wellbeing of students staff and visitors
- Support visiting doctors and allied health professionals with patient care and follow-up
- Respond to first aid and urgent health needs for students staff and visitors presenting to Health and Medical Services offering calm timely and practical support when it matters most
- Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the Health and Medical Service including clinical support tasks admin and maintaining supplies and equipment
- Keep accurate electronic health records and service data using clinical systems
- Support Wellbeing and Accessibility colleagues in managing a range of health-related presentations
- Help build and maintain strong referral networks with external health providers and services
- Contribute to health promotion activities such as workshops resources displays and student wellbeing initiatives

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Registration as a General Nurse with AHPRA
- Commitment to maintaining vaccination status against measles mumps rubella varicella (chicken pox) pertussis (whooping cough) and hepatitis B throughout your employment
You work well under pressure communicate with warmth and professionalism and take pride in delivering high-quality care. Youre a team player who contributes positively to shared goals and values continuous improvement in health service delivery.

This is a part-time (60%) continuing position based at Griffith University Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith Universitys sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples
Salary Range
HEW Level 7 FTE salary range $104504 - $113219 per annum 17% superannuation (pro rata)
