About the MyLife Program
Our MyLife program supports young people at risk of entering or transitioning out of residential care. Funded by Targeted Care Packages this role provides intensive tailored support to help young people and families thrive.
Youll deliver support across various pathways including care transitions family reunification and family preservation helping clients develop independence strengthen connections and pursue education or employment opportunities.
What youll do
As a Youth and Family Worker youll:
- Provide flexible outreach-based support to children young people and their families.
- Deliver in-home supports and practical skill-building (e.g. living skills budgeting tenancy).
- Build and maintain trusting relationships that foster positive growth.
- Collaborate with service systems to develop and maintain case plans.
- Focus on strengths opportunities and client-defined goals.
What youll bring
- A Diploma or higher qualification in Community Services or a related field.
- Experience supporting children young people and families with complex needs.
- Strong understanding of: trauma-informed practice adolescent development mental health and substance use along with relevant service systems and supports.
- Passion resilience and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
