Senior Software Engineer AI and Platform Capability

About the role

Were looking for a Senior Engineer to join us as a high-impact individual contributor working across some of our most strategic engineering initiatives with a strong focus on AI-driven projects. This is not a role anchored to a single team from day one; instead youll be deployed where your skills can create the most value from initiatives such as Google Vertex AI Search Assisted Apply and Agentic AI experiments to improving development workflows with tools like Claude Code and helping shape the foundations of our AI engineering practice. Youll thrive in this role if you enjoy moving between architecture problem solving and hands-on delivery and if youre energised by ambiguity shifting priorities and the opportunity to bring clarity momentum and sound judgment in fast-moving environments.

Leadership & Influence

This role is suited to someone who can lead through influence building alignment across teams and shaping technical direction without relying on formal authority. They will play a key role in guiding important technical decisions establishing the practices and standards others follow and helping mature SEEKs approach to AI development. To succeed they will need to communicate complex technical concepts with clarity and credibility to a wide range of stakeholders including senior leaders product partners and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a senior individual contributor across high-priority strategic initiatives particularly in AI and platform capability

• Design build and deliver scalable secure and maintainable solutions across the stack with a strong back-end focus

• Work hands-on in existing codebases and quickly ramp up in new languages frameworks and systems as needed

• Help shape our AI engineering practice including approaches to tooling workflows standards and ways of working

• Partner across teams to influence technical decisions and drive alignment without formal authority

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for product leaders directors and other non-technical stakeholders

• Bring structure clarity and momentum to ambiguous problems identifying what needs to be done and driving it through to delivery

Qualifications :

• AI engineering experience including hands-on work with LLMs AI platforms or AI-augmented development workflows

• Polyglot coding ability with comfort working across different codebases and languages such as Ruby TypeScript and Python

• A technologist at heart with curiosity and enthusiasm for solving problems across a broad range of technologies

• Startup or ambiguous environment experience with a track record of operating in environments where they had to define the work not just execute it

• Systems design capability with the ability to architect end-to-end solutions with an eye for scalability security and long-term maintainability

• High agency with a self-directed proactive and accountable approach without needing close management

• Communication skills that enable them to translate technical complexity for executive and non-technical audiences
