The Development Coordination Authority (DCA) has been established as part of the Department of Planning Housing and Infrastructure as the authoritative NSW Government source of technical input across the planning system. The Authority brings together a deep multi-disciplinary capability inside the planning department specialists in natural hazards environment heritage water transport and other disciplines and delivers it to decision makers to help shape development outcomes across NSW.
Joining the DCA presents a unique opportunity to help build and embed a new model for delivering technical input into the planning system working alongside DCAs specialists to provide coordinated expert advice and decisions that shape housing infrastructure and sustainable communities across the State.
The role
In this role youll make it easier for DCA customers and stakeholders to navigate our services by mapping journeys fixing pain points and turning what you learn into practical accessible guidance. Youll use service data feedback and human-centred design to shape clear end-to-end processes and knowledge assets that support consistent high-quality outcomes.
Youll work across service areas to keep information current as policies procedures and technical requirements change and to integrate people process and technology in a resource-constrained environment. Youll set up strong governance (version control approval and review cycles) so knowledge repositories templates and service artefacts stay accurate compliant and ready to usehelping position DCA as a centre of excellence in planning assessment and technical advisory services.

What you will bring to the role
- Significant experience designing and implementing end-to-end services with a focus on customer-centricity quality and efficiency.
- Experience applying human-centred design principles to service processes systems and tools.
- Experiencing delivering service related programs and/or projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly
- Strong problemsolving abilities to navigate complex and changing environments
- Capable of driving outcomes while effectively involving stakeholders throughout the process
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to achieve shared objectives
What is an essential requirement:
- Degree qualification in a related relevant discipline.
Eligibility Eligible employees are required to be at-grade or at an equivalent level; and either ongoing public service employees or fixed term employees who have been comparatively assessed at-grade.
