Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Lab Manager to oversee materials testing operations within an engineering laboratory environment. The role focuses on managing daily lab activities supervising testing programmes ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting innovation in construction materials and structural testing.
Job Description:
- Manage day-to-day laboratory operations and testing schedules
- Supervise concrete steel and composite materials testing
- Ensure accurate data recording analysis and reporting
- Maintain laboratory equipment calibration and inventory control
- Enforce safety procedures and compliance with SANS/ASTM/ISO standards
- Support engineers with prototype and structural testing activities
- Minimum 34 years experience in construction materials or engineering laboratory testing
- Knowledge of SANS ASTM or ISO testing standards
- Experience with hydraulic or materials testing equipment
- Strong organisational and reporting skills
- National Diploma / BTech / BSc in Civil Engineering Materials Science
