UE03: 24729.00 - 25804.00 Per Annum Pro Rata.

CSE / School of Chemistry.

Full Time - 35 hours per week.

Fixed Term Contract - 8 weeks.

The Opportunity:

The School of Chemistry is looking for a highly motivated summer intern to contribute to the development of a graphical user interface (GUI) for our innovative NMR-based fragment screening methodology. Our approach enables fast and efficient identification of potential lead compounds in drug discovery with a significant reduction in screening time. To make this methodology widely available we need to develop a user-friendly GUI that streamlines the analysis of hundreds of NMR spectra allowing for minimal intervention and push-button operation.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop a GUI using Python and relevant libraries to analyse NMR spectra.
  • Collaborate with the research team to deliver maximum portability and usability of the product.
  • Test and validate the GUI with sample datasets provided by the research team.

Expected commencement date: July 1st 2026 (8-week internship)
