Product Development Technologist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Product Development Technologist to join our team on a full-time permanent this role you will be responsible for developing new products and improving existing ones to meet the changing needs of the market. You will work closely with our clients suppliers and internal teams to ensure the successful development and launch of products that meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop new product ideas and concepts.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends consumer needs and potential product opportunities.

Develop and maintain product specifications including ingredients packaging and labeling.

Create prototypes and conduct product testing to ensure quality functionality and compliance with regulations.

Work closely with suppliers to source and evaluate raw materials and components for products.

Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective production processes.

Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure timely and successful product launches.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends regulations and consumer preferences to inform product development decisions.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Food Science Chemistry or a related field.

3 years of experience in product development preferably in the consumer goods industry.

Strong knowledge of product development processes including ideation formulation and testing.

Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
