Job Summary
As a multi-discipline self-performing leader we execute a significant portion of our work in-house. This provides strong exposure across all phases of executionfrom planning and hazard assessment through turnaround execution and closeout. Youll work within fast-paced high-risk environments where leadership vigilance and proactive safety management are critical to success.
This role is based in Fort McMurray and supports a major turnaround project with rotational work schedules.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and execution of HSE programs during turnaround activities
- Provide leadership mentorship and direction to HSE advisors and field teams
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations company policies and client requirements
- Conduct hazard assessments field inspections and safety audits
- Monitor site activities to identify risks and ensure controls are in place
- Lead incident investigations root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Promote and drive a strong safety culture through leadership and engagement
- Facilitate toolbox talks safety meetings and training sessions
- Collaborate with operations and project teams to integrate safety into planning and execution
- Track and report safety performance metrics and trends
- Support emergency response planning and preparedness
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives in safety performance
Qualifications:
- Extensive HSE experience within oil & gas or heavy industrial construction environments
- Proven leadership experience in turnaround or shutdown projects
- Strong knowledge of applicable safety legislation and industry best practices
- Experience leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Strong communication leadership and influencing skills
- Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
- Professional safety designation (e.g. CRSP CSP or equivalent) is an asset
- Commitment to safety excellence and fostering a proactive safety culture
Work Conditions:
- Site-based position in Fort McMurray AB
- Rotational schedule supporting a major turnaround project
- Day shift and night shift work required
- Camp accommodations and travel provided (where applicable)
- High-visibility leadership role in a dynamic industrial environment
