2026 Work Integrated Learning Program (P1 P2) - Richards Bay Minerals
The primary objective of the P1/P2 Work Integrated Learning Programme is to equip learners with the practical on-the-job experience required to complete their academic qualifications and prepare for careers within the mining and minerals sector.
Learners from Universities of Technology will be placed at Richards Bay Minerals where they will participate in a structured workplace-based learning programme aligned with their respective institutional requirements. This programme is designed to provide meaningful exposure and support the development of both technical and professional competencies within a dynamic operational environment.
Applications are invited from students in the following fields of study:
Engineering and Humanities Disciplines
Minimum Requirements:
Unemployed South African youth
Final year student with the University of Technology
Grade 12/Matric
National Driver s License minimum Code B
Must not have undergone Work Experience (P1/P2 or Vacation Work) before whether SETA funded or company funded.
P1 P2 must be a requirement in order to graduate
Domicile address must be within the King Cetshwayo District Municipality KwaZulu Natal.

Attach a stamped letter from University of Technology stating P1 P2 Requirement (Minimum 12 months)
Attach certified copy of Matric certificate
Attach certified Statement of Results from University of Technology
Attach certified copy of your South African Identity document
Attach certified copy of your South African valid drivers license
Attach certified Proof of Residence / Domicile Address
Acceptance into the Programme is dependent on successful interview and assessment.
