2026 Artisan Learnership Programme (Occupationally Directed Qualification Trades)
The Artisan Learnership Programme is a structured occupationally directed training initiative that leads to a trade-related qualification registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
Upon successful completion learners will be awarded a Trade Certificate issued by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO).
This accredited programme integrates theoretical knowledge practical training and work-based learning components ensuring comprehensive skills development aligned to industry requirements.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in the following Occupational Trade Certificates:
Diesel Mechanic
Boiler Maker
Millwright
Refractory Mason
Electrician
Mechanical Fitter
Instrumentation
Minimum Requirements:
South African citizen targeted at unemployed Youth
Successfully completed Grade 12/Matric with Mathematics (Core Mathematics) and Physical Science or Technical Matric
Trade related qualification
South African drivers License minimum code B
Must not be registered on an active Learnership or Apprenticeship funded by a SETA or privately
The domicile address must be within the King Cetshwayo District Municipality KwaZulu Natal.

Acceptance into the Programme is dependent on a successful interview and assessments.
