Position SummaryAssist and support the development of an infrastructure for recruitment and retention plan directed at solidifying a solid roster of quality student-athletes. Assist with the cultivation of a recruiting plan to support the Universitys Strategic Plan as directed by the head coach. The assistant coach has considerable secondary responsibility in successfully developing a solid roster of quality students that will represent the University in a positive way in the community; at the same time supporting and encouraging a community outreach attitude in advancing of the university Strategic Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist and support in the promotion of the educational values of athletics consistent with the educational values of the University as outlined in the University and Athletic Department Mission in implementing and managing all phases of a Division I lacrosse the head coach in ensuring the program is following the rules and regulations of the NCAA MAAC and Sacred Heart University Assist the head coach with the evaluating and developing a recruiting plan for prospective the head coach in organizing preparing and conducting individual and team the head coach in developing and implementing scouting reports/game as Social Media Management and CoordinatorAssist the head coach in administrative and office duties including but not limited to managing/organizing team travel arrangements and in team and department functions events and duties as Skills Abilities & Other AttributesBachelors to five years of playing and coaching experience st the intercollegiate level preferred experience and knowledge st the goalie knowledge of all tactics. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Impeccable integrity with a working knowledge of the NCAA rules and administrative and organizational of Hudl and First Aid Certified or the ability to get certified in a timely Working ConditionsMust have fundamental athletic skills to teach and supervise. Ability to work weekends a must.
