In India Restless Development works across multiple states through youth-led and community-centered approaches supporting young people to lead transformative change in areas including climate justice active citizenship gender equity inclusion and livelihoods.
As part of this Restless Development is seeking to strengthen inclusion-centered youth leadership by equipping youth champions and grassroots partners with practical tools understanding and facilitation approaches on inclusion and equity.
The aim is to ensure that young people from structurally excluded communities including young women tribal and forest-based youth persons with disabilities and youth from socially and economically marginalized communities are meaningfully included and empowered as leaders and change makers within their communities and spaces.
Purpose of the Consultancy
Restless Development seeks the services of a consultant/consultancy agency to design and develop a set of interactive learning modules that help young people and youth champions understand reflect on and practice inclusion in meaningful ways.
The purpose of this consultancy is to support youth leaders and grassroots organizations to build a deeper and more practical understanding of inclusion across diverse identities lived realities and social contexts. The consultancy aims to help young people critically explore questions such as:
- What is inclusion
- Why does inclusion matter
- Who is often excluded and why
- How do power privilege identity and bias influence participation and opportunity
- Should inclusion be considered in programs leadership and decision-making
- How can individuals and organizations practice inclusion more intentionally and meaningfully
- Why are inclusive leadership and communities essential
The consultant will develop a curriculum consisting of 10 interactive sessions of approximately 40 minutes each designed for youth champions and grassroots youth leaders engaged through the
The modules should encourage reflection dialogue empathy participation and action. They should move beyond theoretical understanding and support participants to examine their own assumptions behaviours and systems while developing practical approaches to building more inclusive spaces and practices.
The curriculum should be participatory contextualized and experiential rather than lecture-based.
