Are you a registered nurse graduate seeking a dynamic and enriching RN residency program Jefferson Healthcare is committed to providing exceptional and comprehensive transition-to-practice experience for registered nurse graduates. Our RN Residency Program is a 12-month program that includes clinical experiences with didactic education simulations and individualized support from experienced nurse educators. This support will prepare and nurture novice nurses to provide excellent care for our communitys patients.

What can you expect
- 12-16 weeks of orientation under 1:1 direct supervision of a trained preceptor
- Ongoing regular support and follow-up from nurse educators for the first 12 months
- Smaller cohort sizes for more individualized support
- Shadowing experiences throughout the organization
- Opportunity to cross-train to other departments.
The RN will be hired into the Jefferson Healthcare New Graduate RN Residency Program and is required to fulfill all training and education within this program.
The New Graduate Acute Care Unit RN is responsible for providing nursing care adapted to the individual patient needs based on the nursing process which includes assessment planning implementation and evaluation. They promote continuity of care to ensure that patient needs and expected outcomes are met. As a member of the team an RN must be comfortable delegating and supervising support nursing staff who participates in the provision of care.
What You Need:
- Current resume
- Two professional letters of reference
- An essay describing how you decided to become a RN strengths/talents you can offer the team and what you hope to take away from the program and why you were drawn to the department you chose
Qualifications
- Current Washington state RN license in good standing
- BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required within 6 months of hire
- NIHSS Certification required within 6 months of hire
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Schedule: 0.9 FTE day shift (0700-1930)
