The Role
- Oversee food production and menu-based catering for residents in this reputable high end aged care facility.
- Responsible for stock control budgets rostering staff mentoring training & liaising with the client and other key stakeholders including residents
- Ensure accurate implementation of allergy awareness controls and maintain a high standard of food hygiene safety and cleanliness
- Create and maintain nutritional menus with a focus on healthy eating
- Lead and mentor your team ensuring compliance with food safety procedures
The Person
- Minimum Cert. III Commercial Cookery
- Previous kitchen management experience in a similar role - strong leadership qualities collaborative management skills and a passion for food
- Experience in HACCP food safety and infection control with a good understanding of IDDSI and the preparation of texture modified meals
- Strong commercial acumen with good inventory management
- Previous experience in operating a catering operation with strict budgetary constraints
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
- NPC: Possess a current National Police Check clearance
