Job Summary
Stewards will be responsible for collecting used dishes plates equipment and utensils loading dish machine and stacking washed items addition collecting garbage sweeping mopping and upkeep of the overall cleanliness of the facility inside and out.
Key Responsibilities
Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
Load and unload dishwashing machine
Assist with banquet plating and food running as applicable
Wash specific items by name (e.g. wooden cutting boards large pots and delicate china)
Store clean pots pans dishes glasses and equipment appropriately and safely
Remove garbage regularly
Sanitize the kitchen area including the floor walls doors and handles
Routine cleaning of cargo equipment (Speed Racks Carts Metro Racks)
Communicate regularly and clearly with the Stewarding Manager as needed
Cleaning and upkeep of the dumpster area and storage rooms
Duties subject to change based on nature of business
Skills Knowledge & Expertise
Positive attitude.
Requires lifting from 25-50 pounds.
Willingness to work in hot humid environment and on your feet for 8-hour shifts (Meals and Breaks will be provided).
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSA):
Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks as needed
Time management skills
Attention to detail and sanitation rules
Availability to work during weekends and evenings
