Duties:
- Manage and execute full payroll processing on a monthly basis using PaySpace
- Perform payroll reconciliations and validate input data to ensure accuracy
- Handle statutory submissions including EMP201 EMP501 (bi-annual and annual) and related tax compliance requirements
- Ensure compliance with SARS UIF BCEA COIDA SDL and other statutory legislation
- Maintain accurate payroll records while ensuring confidentiality and data protection compliance
- Support internal and external payroll audits and implement corrective actions where required
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently and effectively
- Provide payroll support guidance and advice to employees and management
- Monitor legislative and system changes impacting payroll and ensure timely updates
- Drive continuous improvement in payroll processes and system optimisation
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- NQF Level 7 qualification (Degree in Accounting Taxation Finance or related field advantageous)
- Minimum 8 years payroll experience
- At least 2 years hands-on experience working on PaySpace
- Proven experience managing full payroll processes within South Africa
- Strong exposure to payroll audits and compliance environments
- Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation (BCEA PAYE UIF COIDA SDL)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong working knowledge of PaySpace payroll system
- Experience with SARS submissions and tax source codes
- Payroll reconciliation and reporting expertise
- Strong numerical accuracy and analytical ability
- High attention to detail with a strong compliance mindset
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
