RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a clear landscape for Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) service providers in the territory including key players in each industry sector and corresponding Yokogawa Strategic Business Unit (SBU); Materials Energy & Sustainability (E&S) and Life BUs through on-the-ground intelligence gathering performed both externally and internally supplemented by data-driven analysis using appropriate project intelligence application platforms.
  • Responsibility for achievement of EPC-related annual sales targets in the territory.
  • Promote Yokogawas total IA portfolio and exploit synergies across Systems & Solutions Services and Y-Products BUs.
  • Prioritise and establish contact with all key EPCs in the territory. Introduce Yokogawas global / regional / local organisation IA portfolio project execution and lifecycle services capability. Build relationships with key people to facilitate long-term business engagement and position Yokogawa as the EPCs preferred automation partner.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) Front-End Sales Engineers (FSEs) Business Units (BUs) Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Local Business Owners (LBOs) in the pursuit of EPC business. Identify qualify and prioritise project opportunities. Align and implement the strategy activities & action plans accordingly.
  • Manage and maintain oversight on all Major / Strategic EPC Opportunity & Forecast data in the YODA CRM application in line with the guidelines and requirements as set out by the company and the YMA Corporate Planning Div. Monitor input data quality & accuracy ensure completion of all mandatory fields and maintain zero overdue opportunities in YODA.
  • Drive early engagement with project developers & owners during pre-FEED phases and position Yokogawa as Main Automation Contractor (MAC) where possible.
  • Fulfill vendor qualification and supplier registrations with all potential EPC houses as required.
  • Take the lead and work closely with the internal EPC proposal teams on all major and / or strategic EPC enquiries RFQs ITBs and tenders. Consult with EPC proposals teams and provide support and guidance pertaining to specific submission requirements.
  • In coordination with RSMs FSEs and BDMs comply with Yokogawa Customer / End-User registration processes Applications for Credit and legal review process for Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). Adhere to company guidelines & procedures for the safeguarding and sharing of confidential information received under an NDA.
  • Support YMA RHQ SBUs BUs and BDMs and the YHQ Africa Business Promotion Center in the pursuit of major project opportunities involving EPCs in the territory.
  • Communicate with relevant RHQs and observe global territory rules where the project owner stakeholders or EPCs are overseas based.
  • Submit Sales Activity reports timeously to the Head of Sales and the relevant RSM / FSE following customer or regional sales visits.
  • Develop annual budgets and business plans with direction from the Head of Sales.
  • Plan and manage all promotional events targeting EPCs in cooperation with the Marketing department.
  • Develop and maintain customer-facing EPC Solutions .PPTX materials for distribution and use by sales.
  • Develop an AF3 EPC Capability Brochure in collaboration with the Marketing department. Provide design input ideas content and graphics. Update as required from time to time.
  • Work with the YMA Marketing group and RHQ Material BU to secure the latest marketing materials for promotional activities including advertising exhibition graphics promotional videos logos narratives success stories application notes and other EPC-specific content.
  • Perform Monthly progress reporting budgeting & forecasting as required.
  • Stay abreast of strategic and technical developments in Yokogawas IA portfolio.
  • Protect the organisations value by keeping information confidential.
  • Adherence to the Yokogawa Management System.
  • Adherence to Yokogawa Code of Conduct Anti-Bribery / Anti-Corruption policy Sales Manual HR QHSE and Accounting controls and procedures.
  • Adherence to annual Goal Setting & Performance Review requirements with direct line manager.
  • Abide by the companys health and safety policy by ensuring the following:
