Chapel Hill ISD is seeking a compassionate dependable and student-centered individual to serve as a Behavior Support Personnel team member. This position is designed to support students experiencing behavioral challenges in the classroom and help create a safe positive and productive learning environment for all students and staff.
Position Summary
The Behavior Support Personnel will work directly with students who demonstrate behavioral difficulties during the school day. This individual will collaborate with teachers administrators counselors and parents to provide behavior interventions support emotional regulation and encourage positive student behaviors.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral support and supervision for students experiencing challenges in the classroom
- Assist teachers with behavior intervention strategies and classroom management
- Build positive relationships with students while maintaining consistent expectations
- Help de-escalate situations and support students in regaining self-control
- Monitor student behavior and document incidents and progress as needed
- Work collaboratively with campus staff to implement behavior plans and interventions
- Encourage positive social skills emotional regulation and conflict resolution
- Support a safe and respectful school environment
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or adolescents preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Patience consistency and a heart for helping students succeed
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families
- High school diploma required; additional education or training in education counseling behavior management or related fields preferred

- Positive attitude and strong relationship-building skills
- Ability to redirect behavior in a respectful and supportive manner
- Experience with behavior intervention strategies or student support services
- Commitment to student growth and success
