Location: Fort Defiance AZ
Duration:13-Week Contract Assignment
12-Hour Night Shifts
Schedule
- Alternating schedule:
- 36 hours one week
- 48 hours the following week
- Up to 1 on-call shift per week
- Flexibility required for weekends holidays and rotating schedules as needed
Position Overview
A healthcare facility in Arizona is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical Unit supporting adult geriatric and pediatric patient populations. This opportunity is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment and are comfortable working with diverse patient populations.
The unit offers strong staffing support and collaborative interdisciplinary care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult geriatric and pediatric Med Surg patients
- Conduct patient assessments and administer medications and treatments
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate charting and clinical documentation
- Support community Flu Immunization Clinics as needed
- Attend required orientation and staff meetings
- Float to qualified departments when necessary including task-based support assignments
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Medical Surgical RN experience required
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience required
- Must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients
- Active RN license required
- AHA BLS certification required
- AHA ACLS certification required
- AHA PALS certification required
- Flexibility with scheduling floating weekends and holidays required
