Job Description

The student awarded this position will work with the instructor and students in the SUS201L (Integrative Biology Lab) during Fall 2026 at the Eden Hall campus. Students who have already excelled in SUS201L or SUS404 (Quantitative Ecology) are preferred but anyone with solid science skills and some programming knowledge can apply. Applicants must be available to attend the Fall semesters class meetings on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons as well as some time prior for helping set-up. The TA may need to meet with students outside of class hours either in-person or virtually.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • As assigned by the instructor assisting in lab set-up and execution
  • Meeting with students to help with assignments

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Improved understanding of aspects of integrative biology
  • Experience mentoring students
  • A chance to use some of those R skills!

Approved for 105 hours (roughly 7 hours/week for 15 weeks) at $12/hr.

All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.

Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
