Veterinary Receptionist Specialist Hospital (Part-Time)

We are looking for a professional compassionate and organised Veterinary Receptionist to join our specialist veterinary hospital team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a collaborative high-performing environment delivering advanced care across multiple specialist disciplines.

Our hospital is a busy referral-based setting where every interaction matters. Clients are often navigating stressful and emotional circumstances and your role as the first point of contact is vital in providing reassurance clarity and exceptional service from the moment they arrive or make contact.

About the Role

This is a varied and fast-paced front-of-house position where no two days are the same. Youll play a key role in coordinating client communications managing specialist appointments and supporting our clinical teams to ensure a smooth and seamless hospital experience for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm welcoming and empathetic experience for all clients and referring veterinarians

  • Manage a high volume of incoming calls and coordinate appointments across multiple specialist departments

  • Oversee patient admissions discharges and ongoing client communication with accuracy and care

  • Work closely with veterinarians nurses and internal teams to support efficient workflow

  • Process financial transactions invoicing and general administrative duties with precision

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold a high standard of professionalism at all times

About You

  • Previous experience in reception administration or customer service (veterinary or medical experience highly regarded)

  • Strong communication skills and confidence in handling sensitive or emotional conversations

  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment

  • A genuine team player who enjoys working collaboratively

  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work

  • A sincere passion for animal care and supporting clients through their pets journey
