What does the role involve

Keyresponsibilitieswill include (but not limited to):

  • Undertake the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • General ledger journal preparation and posting includingpayments revenue recognition prepayments accruals and corrections
  • Maintain the chart of accounts in the finance system including creation of new account codes and analysis codes
  • Oversee the fortnightly payroll process including working with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure accuracy and correct payroll processes
  • Administer the expense management application including user management user training supplier management and oversight of analysis and expense codes
  • Support the Finance Manager to manage cash flow on a day-to-day basis
  • Support the Finance Manager with budgeting and intermittent forecasting process as needed
  • Enact a continuous improvement mindset in creating a user focused robust finance eco-system in collaboration with team members
  • Work with team members on systems improvement and upgrades asrequired
  • Assistwith the annual audit and end offinancial yearactivities asrequired
  • Other duties as assigned.


This role is based in our Mascot office and will work a hybrid model including two days in the office per week.



Essential requirements

You will value collaboration and communication and enjoy working in a team environment. Transformation will excite you as well as the opportunity to rebuild efficient processes and procedures.

  • Bachelors degree inaccountingfinancebusiness or a relevant field
  • CA/CPA qualification with minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience converting manual processes into automated workflows. Ideally experienced in managing system implementation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft programs (advanced Excel) and Finance Systems such as SUN Financials (Cloud) Access MicrOpay and expenses management system such as ExpenseMe ProMaster.
  • A strong understanding of Accounting and Audit Standards andpreviousexperience in a similar role within a medium - large complex organisational environment is essential.
  • Experience in building effective relationships and communicating with stakeholders and delivering exceptional customer service when managing varied queries.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and queries while delivering the highest levels of customer service.
