We are seeking a passionate and committed ECE Kaiako In-training to join our vibrant team at Te Ako o te Tui.

Our service is a purposebuilt wellestablished early childhood centre licensed for 90 tamariki aged 3 months to 6 years. The role is primarily based in our over2s setting with flexibility to support across the full age range as required in line with the needs of our diverse community.

This is a permanent full-time position (40 hours per week) working on a rostered shift pattern that rotates fortnightly. Some flexibility is available to support study commitments.

• Be enrolled with a New Zealand ECE training provider
• Demonstrate genuine care respect and advocacy for tamariki.
• Bring enthusiasm for working across all age groups with confidence in supporting tamariki within a busy mixed-age environment fostering holistic learning and development in a culturally diverse setting.
• Show an emerging understanding of Te Whāriki and how it informs curriculum design and responsive teaching practice.
• Actively uphold and reflect Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your practice with a willingness to grow your understanding of tikanga and te reo Māori.
• Build and sustain respectful trusting relationships with tamariki whānau and colleagues recognising the importance of whakawhanaungatanga.
• Work collaboratively within a team contributing to shared thinking and continuous improvement.
