We are seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to contribute to the teaching postgraduate supervision and administrative activities of the School while maintaining and/or developing original scholarship and research in your field. You will also engage in professional community and iwi service relevant to your discipline.
While many core responsibilities are consistent across Lecturer to Professor levels progression in the role is marked by the delivery of teaching at an increasingly high standard greater impact and leadership in research and a growing contribution to academic governance. This includes advancing your discipline through recognised scholarship fostering student success and providing leadership within the University and the wider academic community.
Salary will be in the range of $92603 to $110407 for a Lecturer or $113248 to $148799 for a Senior Lecturer per year based on skills knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week) based on our Tauranga Campus.

You will have or be completing a PhDin a psychology or a related discipline and bring strong foundational knowledge and training in behaviour analysis with expertise (or developing research profile appropriate to the level of appointment)in one or more priority areas for the School such as Environmental Psychology Applied Animal Behaviour Third Wave Behaviour Analysis (e.g. nonlinear analysis RFT) or Organisational Behaviour Management.
As a Senior Lecturer youwill have a well-established research profile evidenced by a strong record of publications external funding success and the supervision of high-quality research students. An engaging and adaptable educator you will demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching and postgraduate supervision alongside a commitment to innovative teaching practices including online and distance delivery.
You will be collaborative organised and able to work effectively within a diverse academic environment contributing to both the Schools administration and its wider community engagement. A commitment to the Universitys partnership with Māori the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and fostering a culture of equity openness and excellence will be central to your approach.
