Core Responsibilities

• Serves as a subject matter expert onrelevantdata privacy laws and regulations withexpertisein theAustralian Privacy Act 1988(Cth)and an interest in emerging technologies and regulatory risks related to data and privacy.

• Supports the Head of Data Privacy to ensurecompliance withprivacy lawsand performsriskassessments as needed includingPrivacy Impact Assessments.

• Consults with business partners and provides oversight toenableaPrivacyby Designapproach.

• Contributes tothe maintenance and evolution of the privacy program framework including the design and development of policies standards and procedures.

• Monitors the industry toidentifyemerging privacy risks that couldimpacttheorganisation.

• Engageswithbusiness leaders tosupport theimplementation ofdata privacy policies and procedures as well as assess data privacyand relatedrisks with theobjectiveof mitigating potential privacy incidents.

• Contributes tothe globalprivacyincident control and response framework.

• Supportsprivacy-related forums andtrainings.

• Implementsprocesses to ensure compliance with pendingregulatoryrequirements.

• Collaborateswithotherteamsincludinglegalto implement new requirements.

• Activelyidentifiesopportunities to developmetrics to build program measures and provide insights to management across the enterprise.

• Participatesin special projects and performsother duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience in riskcomplianceor regulatory roles preferably within the financial services industry.

• CIPM certificationpreferred. Other IAPP certificationsincludingAIGPor equivalenta plus.

• An undergraduate degree oran equivalentcombination of training and experience isrequired.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influenceprioritise and communicate risks clearly in plain English.

• Ability to interpret and apply privacy requirements to real-world business processes systems and data flows.

• Strong administrativeorganisational program management and presentation skills with attention to detail and a practical outcome-driven mindset.

• Experience with privacy management tools such asOneTrustis a plus.
