Séminaire en histoire des Etats-Unis : Politique internationale des États-Unis: valse-hésitation entre interventionnisme et isolationnisme.Ce cours retrace lhistoire de la politique étrangère états-unienne depuis la fondation de la République jusquaux élections de mi-mandat à lautomne 2026 en interrogeant la tension entre interventionnisme et isolationnisme. Il soutient que les États-Unis tout en se proclamant lantithèse de la realpolitik européenne ont reproduit à plus grande échelle la logique impériale de leurs prédécesseurs sous une forme indirecte et systémique. Le séminaire suit les grandes étapes de cette trajectoire : révolution expansion continentale hégémonie post-1945 guerre froide moment unipolaire cela jusquà la crise actuelle de linternationalisme libéral. Il sarticule autour de présentations estudiantines et de débats alimentés par une bibliographie spécialisée. Il culminera par un travail de recherche de vingt pages sur un cas précis de politique étrangère ancré dans lhistoriographie et articulé autour de la problématique de lexpansion et du déclin du système global américain.
